Victoria Square is home to quite a good population of bats. We have been observing and monitoring them, originally as part of a survey for our National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant, which also allowed us to purchase some equipment to help listen to their calls.

However, we found a passion in further watching them, so have trialed some Bat Watch Walks, which have proved successful.

Join our volunteer Dan, (who has been educating himself on bats as a way to include this information in these events) for an evening of bat watching and listening, and education.

Walks will start 10 minutes prior to sunset and end 40-60minutes afterwards.

Please note these events can only take place during a period around sunset and between March & November. Walks will not take place during poor weather such as heavy rain or extreme cold. Please see our Facebook Page (viewable from our homepage…
